Hi there!

My name is Hannelore. I am Belgian, but doing my PhD in London. I am currently living in Nairobi for my PhD research, but on a month visit to Dakar as part of my research.

My hobbies are playing guitar, running and swimming, and I really love dancing.

I am easy going, clean, and quite busy with work while in Dakar.

I love meeting people!

I'm on couchsurfing because I believe the best way to discover new places is always through the people who live there. And because I love meeting people!

I love bongo flava, afrobeats, kizomba, reggaeton, salsa, bachata, samba, etc.

My favourite books are Half of the yellow sun and Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the Harry Potter series, the Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver, etc.

Currently, my favourite film is Moonlight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have loved (and still love) - and that's the most amazing thing a person can do if you ask me :)
