ABOUT ME

"The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see."
I am a Belgian girl who enjoys travelling around the world and explore new places and meet new people.

I love listening to music and going to festivals and concerts. Every year in winter, I also go snowboarding in Austria or Switzerland. I believe I am the most clumsy person on a snowboard and I have managed to hurt myself quite a few times already - often in the most stupid and silly way possible. However, I keep practicing and one day I'll manage to come down a black sloop like a pro! :)

I have studied law in Brussels and Leuven, with one year of erasmus in Oslo. In addition, I did another master last year in London. In my opinion, London is one of the greatest cities in the world. I love the atmosphere, the crowds, the great food (especially the variety of foods from all over the world), the shops, the weird people on the tube, the foxes wondering around the city in the evening, ... In London I had the opportunity to meet so many great people from many different countries. It has now become my goal to visit all these wonderful people in their home countries in the next few years! This means my list of "countries I would like to visit" has become significantly longer than it used to be :)

Since October 2013, I am working as an associate in a law firm in Brussels. Another great - sometimes quite strange and often underestimated - city.

My international experiences of the last few years have taught me to appreciate other cultures, food habits and languages.
As a Belgian, I grew up with different languages (Dutch, French and English). I enjoy learning new languages very much and during my erasmus year in Oslo I studied norwegian.

My all time favourite story writer is Roald Dahl. No doubt!

Life is music! I love going to festivals, such as Rock Werchter and Pukkelpop (both in Belgium), T in the Park (Scotland) or other smaller festivals around Europe! I saw many great bands on these festivals over the last couple of years, such as Travis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, Faithless, Eels, the Editors, Rudimental, Emeli Sandé, Bastille, Arctic Monkeys, and many more!
