About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living the explored life.
ABOUT ME
I am from Norway, but have lived in three different countries and travelled when I could in the last five years, soaking up stories and shared experiences. I love people and I think everybody has something unique to share! I have found my ground in and amongst the ease that is Adelaide living, spending a lot of time hiking, foraging and really connecting with my roots. I am passionate about equal opportunity and environmental and social justice and build my working life around this.
I love food, cooking and gardening, so when I travel many of my favourite places food, color and ecology has a very central place. I'm a huge lover, there isn't a lot of music or movies that I can't get into. A bit of a nerd I'm a sucker for comics and always have been. Dancing, rituals, anything with a big crowd of people enjoying that same feeling of oneness really gets me going and drives me forward past the daily days. When I travel I try not to plan too much so I can go where the wind takes me, but when I am at home I try to push myself to live a bit like I'm travelling. From the little things to the larger ones, there is so much in front of us to be enjoyed.
At the moment I have a three week trip to Bali and Lombok ahead of me and I can't wait to build some good relationships, explore the beauty and nature and am very open to being shown what the people I meet think is great about their culture. With a tiny bit of Bahasa to get me by I hope to learn more.
PHILOSOPHY
“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am on couchsurfing to be able to have personal experiences when I travel. You can travel the world alone for a thousand years and it will mean nothing if you have no one to share it with.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How about all the little actions every day which collectively do become amazing?
I tie my experiences to the people I've met, and I've met some pretty incredible people. All right, one thing that still stands out as something I am proud of is during a longer trip to India in 2012 when I decided to follow my heart instead of my head and work for a month in an Animal Hospice in Udaipur, India.
Teach, Learn, Share
A joyful learner, recovering teacher. Jack of all trades, master of none I have a range of (possibly useless) trivia to share and activities that I will participate in with full passion and dedication although not always skillfully. But hey, we are all perfect in our imperfections so let's be okay with that :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Where I rest my head I like to share in a meal, help with the shopping, weeding and gardening. Are there children in the family, I can play for days! Maybe I can bring some coloring pencils of crafty things to keep them busy.
