About Me

hoho!
i try to combine my student life with as much traveling as possible, either to cities where friends of mine study or other countries to explore their culture and people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i'm an easy going guy who likes to meet other people and not just look at the big sights of a city or region. what's not about people and contacts in this world?
i often "couchsurfed" before or had friends of friends at my place. i now try to spread the word a little further into the world.

Interests

i really like to take walks in unknown areas to get lost in thoughts or dabble into a conversation, whether deep or cheesy, i have no preference.
i love to have a night out and dance and talk and fun around. boing boom tschakk.
furthermore i'm into cooking stuff out of nothing, well i must admit that there are some times everything i cook tastes the same, but i think i'm improving..
and drawing, abstraction, talking about movies

ah yes and my big aim for before i'll turn 30 is to learn a music intrument. i have a cajon and like to jam around a little bit but i can't say i'm an experiences musician - rather a rookie with rhythm.

Music, Movies, and Books

i like different kinds of music. mostly techno/old school hip hop/trap for dancing and classic rock and instrumental music for when i'm at home.

i often read books for children (janosch, donald duck) but also scientific/philosophical/sociological stuff (camus' l'etrangere, bourdieu, arthur schnitzler's reigen) and some biographies (at the moment i'm into horst janssen)

i do watch a lot of movies. my favorite genre probably is tragicomedy - some examples of movies i watched recently:
the shittiness of things, synecdoche: new york, akira (anime), nowhere boy (john lennon biography)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

severeal spontaneous trips to places in germany and europe. i love to not plan too much - as there are a lot of surprises and amazing coincidences that can happen. you only need a little bit of money and more than 2 days of time.
i've done a bigger trip to nz and bali, but that's too long ago to mention it in detail. the last interesting thing i've done was to spontaneously book a bus to london from amsterdam at new years eve to visit people i didn't really know - ended up very happy!

Teach, Learn, Share

i think i wouldn't make a bad teacher but not in context of school. i like to build stuff together or fix something, even if i don' really know how. try and try - often fail too but as long as it sometimes works, i'm satisfied.

What I Can Share with Hosts

i think i'm a person to get along well with. i can provide 3 nice flatmates and everything what a good flat needs (+balcony)
there's a lot to do in leipzig: come here and check out!
