About Me

I have to say I find it kinda hard to write about myslef but I give it a try!

First the formalities: I'm a 23 year old student who actually lives in a small town close to Munich, where I grew up. I share my flat with two wonderfull roommates who study with me the biotechnologie of food.

What I enjoy most is spending my time with people I value. I always almost hang around with friends, family, girlfriend or my roomates, that it often feels strange when I spend a day alone.
When dealing with new people, it is always my wish to get along with them well, because I think there is too much negativeness and everything would be much simpler if we more open minded.

When I look on my life one day, I want to think it was a fulfilled one. So I try to manage my responsibilities as good as possible but else try to fill my time with experiences I enjoy.
I once heard about a survey about what most people had regretted most on their deathbed and it was that they worked too much.
So basically I want myself and the people around me to have a good time on this planet :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The principal is just amazing. In most cases everybody always wins here, or so I think. I am pretty new to this business.
It is something completly different to experience a city or a country with locals, than when you just live in a hostel and do what your travel guide suggest. I expect most people here to be very open and interessting and I am looking forward to having a good time with some nice folks.
And on top you have the opportunity to make somebody have a really good time in your hood :)

Interests

That's a long list.
I enjoy almost every kind of sport (although I do them far less than I like), like Football, Tennis and table tennis, bouldering and running.

I played some instruments when I was younger, but now I only casually try to play a song I like on guitar. And fail most of the time :D But it's getting better, I promise!

Video gaming is also a quite frequently amusement, which I share with some of my friends. For those of you who know the struggle of Mario Kart: It is not better when you play it with a roommate who always wins and still laughs at you after the 900th time. Sometimes im a step short of strangling him with his own controller.

Spending time in mother nature has very often my mind. I really like those places where you can't tell if mankind ever touched them and I want to see alot of them.

Travelling. Seeing new places, learning about new lifestyles, meeting new people. Awesome.

I like science. Chemistry, biology, biotechnology faszinate me.

And going out drinking with friends or even better staying at someones place and alot of people join you leads almost always leads to a good evening.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
My first experience with music was a German punkrock band called "Die Ärzte" when I was little. Since then they are my favourite and will ever be. Nowerdays there is a mix of rock and rap music on my phone. Nothing's as good as the sound of some great electrical guitars with bass and drums for me, but there are a lot of HipHop artists who I adore.
When I go out to dance I mainly listen to techno though.

Movies:
The all time favorite one will ever be The Lord of the rings, as for so many other people. I can watch this masterpiece of a movie all year long at any opportunity.
I also enjoy movies of the "mindfuck" genre, like Memento, K-Pax, Requiem for a dream, Vanilla Sky, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, The game, Prestige, ...
And also weird stuff coming from David Lynch.
The TV series I enjoyed most was House, MD.

Books:
Most books I read come from the fantasy genre. The bigger the universe is in which you are suddenly while reading the better. I started a series of books with 16 parts last year, which will follow me for quite a time since I don't read as much as I would like.
Apart from fantasy I like good crime books and sometimes something scientific.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I've done (although thats not only my accomplishment) is that I have managed it to stay so close to my friends from school, although a lot of them live in different cities now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good meal, if I get the opportunity to cook.
A drink.
Laughter.
And hopefully lots of interessting thoughts on deep conversation.
