About Me
Hello, I'm 28 and just finished my masters degree and am currently working as a pharmaceutical representative.. I'm a pretty chill guy and I'd love to show you around the town a bit if I find the time or take you to a bar and listen to the story of your journey.
I am living with my girlfriend in a nice quiet 3-room apartment not far from the city center.
I got space for 1-2 people.
If you have any more questions, just send me a message, I'll be happy to answer!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was on couchsurfing for a long time because I love the idea, but I never actually dared to host anyone. Now in August 2017, and friend and me hopped on our bikes and cycled from Germany to Madrid. On the way we met the most amazing people through couchsurfing and I'd really love to give something back and meet new people from all over the world.
Interests
I usually spend my free time reading or listening to an audio book. I like to sing and sometimes I use my shitty bonfire guitar skills to play along. I enjoy playing video games every now and then. Even after the trip to Madrid I still enjoy biking a lot. Ice Skating is a lot of fun too, but I rarely get to do it because the ice field is really far outside the city. As a geneticist, obviously I enjoy science a lot and love to learn more about it each day.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of stuff, but I generally enjoy Rock Music more than other genres. I like ITCHY, Die Toten Hosen, Oasis, Mando Diao, The Offspring, Royal Republic.. that kind of stuff. Of course I also enjoy Classic Rock or Pop and some evergreens like AC/DC or the Beatles.
When it comes to books, I love fantasy. My favourite books are the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I am also big fan of Kai Meyer and the Bartimaeus Sequence. I started to re-read the books that I had to read in school to see them in the new light of actually wanting to read them as opposed to having to read them. Through this, I came to enjoy the works of Bertolt Brecht and even Shakespeare. However, my list of classics I have to read is still long.
I don't watch movies all too much, but if I had to choose one movie that I wanted you to see, it would be 12 angry men in the version of 1957. Apart from that, I could name a few movies that are genereally considered "good" anyway. The LOTR-Trilogy, Good Will Hunting, Matrix, V for Vendetta, to name just a few. I have also seen Star Wars and Harry Potter (also read the books for the latter), both of them are basically part of my childhood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How am I supposed to pick just one good experience? I'll cheat a bit and call my trip to Madrid one experience. A whole month of excitement, adventure, heartwarming people and beautiful landscapes. Every day was unbelievably beautiful.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give you one tip for your life: Never. EVER. Trust Google Maps.
Apart from that, I can probably teach you a bunch about biology and genetics if you're interested. Furthermore, I have some German skills that I perfected over the course of 28 years, so I might be able to help you out there, too. :D
I would love to learn anything you can teach me in the time we have. Learning new things is one of the most amazing things in life.
