HEY THERE!
I am Hanne, a Belgian student living in Berlin since a few years. I moved here cause I love the feeling of freedom, that is the pulse of this city. It keeps exciting and surprising me. What I like to do when I have free time, is go for a walk, drink a coffee somewhere, read, visit a museum or exhibition space, meet up with my friends, go to a party and dance... I am proudly queer and also into intersectional feminism, so always happy to talk about that.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

CURRENTLY
At this moment I am looking for something rather special! I want to spend 2 to 4 weeks in New York in March / April 2020. So at this point I'd like to find a room swap between Berlin and New York, with someone that shares the same interests and views.

In general, I am using Couchsurfing to be able to visit countries in an affordable and very interesting way. I love meeting up with locals and learn about the culture or place through their eyes. It always has brought me so much more insight than I would have ever gotten from a tour guide or travel book. As long as I am student, I'd like to get to know Europe in this way.

Interessen

As I am a student Art History, I'm obviously interested in the arts, culture, history, museum studies.. I focus on modern and contemporary art, as the recent history fascinates me in its complexity. On the other hand, as I identify as a queer feminist, I am really into gender studies and queer theory, as well as intersectional feminism. I am always very happy to talk about these topics.
