Overview
About Me
Hi, I work seasonal gigs as a Boat Captain, Wilderness Guide, Kayak Guide and Medic mostly in polar regions (Antarctica, NW Passage, Greenland, Svalbard) and Alaska.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My good friend Ernest hosts Couchsurfers in Pacific Grove, California and he has related to me about all the cool experiences he's had so far. When I travel, I find it way more fulfilling to meet locals but that has become increasingly difficult in the social media era. I'm always up for a good conversation!
Interests
I am very curious by nature and always hope to continue to grow as a human being. I believe travel and meeting folks is one of the best ways to satisfy this itch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've sailed across the Atlantic on a Tall-ship (STS Lord Nelson) from England to Antigua as part of a youth leadership expedition called Operation Raleigh. The ship was designed to be wheelchair accessible and to allow people of all abilities and backgrounds to actively participate in the sailing process.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been fascinated by marine environments my whole life. My work now (and previously) involves educating people about the planet and the oceans in particular. This usually involves hands-on experiences in various parts of the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Kindness, conversation, laughs, smiles, genuineness.
