I come from a German family that lives in South Africa. I grew up in the township of Mabopane which is where I learnt to speak Tswana. We lived there because of my dads (missionary) work. I studied Civil Engineering in Pretoria and worked close by Richards Bay. Now I’m a student again in Stellenbosch.

I like all kinds of music, but my all-time favorite is Baroque and Jazz, but if my playlist is on shuffle it will just as quickly jump to House or EDM. My favorite movies, to name a few, are: Quartet, Hotel Rwanda, The Big Lebowski , the Star Wars Saga and The Pianist. Among my favorite books are The Hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Eragon, Der 100jährige der aus dem Fenster stieg und verschwand, Der Medicus, Das Buch von San Michele.

In 2014 we (the Tuks Camerata) were awarded the first position in our Category at the World Choir Games in Riga, which makes me an olympic choir singer 😄
