About Me
Hey everyone!
My name is Hans and probably like most of you I have a big passion for traveling and that is why I started to use couchsurfing. I have been living in 3 different countries so far and have always been surrounded by people from different nationalities and background. These experiences and different opinions and views are for the reason why I love traveling so much and why I like meeting new people.
My first real experience with couchsurfing was last year when I did a roadtrip through the USA and fully tried to rely on couchsurfing. I've met some amazing people because of this and now would really like to give back to the community by also hosting more.
Recently I moved back to Amsterdam where I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my student life and entered working life, working for KLM in the IT department. I live with 2 roommates who like couchsurfing as well so hosting people is more than fine. Amsterdam is an amazing place but you have to know your way around the tourist traps and hopefully I can help you with that.
Besides traveling I really enjoy just spending time with friends, grabbing a drink and exploring the city.
Due to busy schedules of my roommates and me we strongly prefer to host just for a night and mainly during the weekends. Also during the week I will, due to work, not have time during the days so that's why the weekends are better in general.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When traveling I enjoy meeting people from the places that I go. Couchsurfing for me is the best way to get to know people from the area and makes the travel so much more fun. I met so many great people while using Couchsurfing and I want to continue doing that by both hosting myself as staying with hosts while traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For couchsurfing defintely last year buying a 2nd hand car in the USA, drive it for 17.000 km from east to west, I saw so many beautiful places and met great people that I am so excited to do it all again.
