About Me
SEP 2024 - Finally able to host again!
Hi there!
I'm Hans from the Netherlands and what interests me most at this moment is wandering around this beautiful world to learn about its people, cultures and myself. To my surprise the more people I get to know the more I discover how similar we are as humans, even if our religion, life style and culture is completely different.
I'm a positive and generally happy person. That likes a good laugh and talking about whatever comes up naturally or sometimes is more calm. In my free time I like to do calisthenics, annoy my friends, get high on coffee and dance. I often seek adventure and challenges, I think it's one of the best ways to learn. I'm also very curious about different worldviews. Everyone has their own perspective and that's completely fine.
Who am I to judge?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm much more interested in meeting people and their culture instead of merely site seeing. It also adds a lot more adventure and connection to one's travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to all kinds of music from classic rock to Reggae.
Books and movies about adventure like "Into the wild" or "Lord of the Rings".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crossing one of the highest mountain passes of Nepal (5416m). Which made me appreciate the oxygen on sea level a lot more.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help improve your English and I know a few chords on the ukulele I can share if you happen to have one.
I would love learning to sing and speak the Turkish language.
