About Me

I enjoy exploring the city and its urban culture. I also enjoy visiting art galleries and museums as that's part of my job. I am an journalist for culture and arts.

I write about culture, art, design, lifestyle, and the people who make them what they are. Having studied abroad and personal travels have taken me to many places around the world which has inspired my curiosity about great cities and stories of people who live there.

Having lived in UK for 3 years, I am on the grand detour back to Taiwan. This 2-month trip is to reconnect my old friends, and to make new friends in the new city.

Prior to UK, I've studied in Poland as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's just a nature. It's a platform for people who like to travel, talk, explore, listen and share things together. I like this kind of relationship - based on the trust and interests. Of course, staying with the local is always the perfect thing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I hardly update my music recently, but I like classic pop music, especially the one in 80's and 90's. For some newer music I like British band, like Mumford Brothers, and Keane.

I watched movies now and then, and I like love stories, or based on the life stories when it comes to the genre.

I read a lot of magazines - the life-style and in-depth interviews.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did my first interview for my art journalism with the new Tate Modern director. I was so scary but it was so amazing. I finally figure out what does it feel when you talk to somebody!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my interests in arts. I can also teach some Chinese and its culture as I used to teach Chinese in London for 2 years.

I love cooking, and I like to cook for people. I like to see people enjoy my food!
