About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To write stories about the cities I've been to, the food I've eaten, the people I've met and the jokes I've laughed at
ABOUT ME
I grew up in Malaysia pretty much the first quarter of my life (if I live up to a hundred) and then moved to Melbourne, Australia. I met my soul mate and we're recently married.
I love food and can cook & bake, and hugely interested in photography. I love architecture and religious countries like Cambodia and Japan. I do occasional write for travel magazines and have a food blog called Happee Monkee.
PHILOSOPHY
“…Don’t look at the ground. Look at the horizon. Forget everything except what you’re supposed to do, step by step.” Rena LeBlanc's jump master
"You need a transformation of being, you need to use your emptiness joyfully, because it opens a door onto the eternal space." Osho
"Do not spoil what you have, by desiring what you have not; but remember that what you now have was once among the things you hoped for.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to meet locals in the countries that I visit and talk about what they do, about their families, job, culture etc. Knowing people anywhere is like putting a face to a name to me. I always believe that everyone has a story and I'm very curious to know what it is. Have a cup of tea or coffee, beer or dinner, with me, I'm told I make good company. :D
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not much (yet!)
Interests
Cooking, baking, photography, writing, reading, traveling, meeting locals and getting to know the culture of a city/ country. I'm very interested in markets because of my foodie interest so we can bond in a market in your country over java and pastry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Snowmobiling across the arctic tundra in Kiruna, Sweden. And in that same experience, spent a few days at the Ice Hotel. Meeting a 1000 year old mummified monk in a remote Japanese monastery. In Sacre Coeur, Paris listening to a beautiful soprano. I have so many, I really can't put a finger one just one!
