About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Create something worthwhile to reconnect people with nature.
ABOUT ME
I am a passionate outdoor learning practitioner, working with my partner to develop a bushcraft centre in a beautiful woodland. We work long hours, but we do so from home and the woodland.
We spend any leisure time playing guitar, singing, doing crafts, playing backgammon, reading, watching TV, or learning new skills.
PHILOSOPHY
The more people you can meet, smiles you can pass on, experiences you can have, and places you can stay, the more you will get from life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Love getting away and visiting other places and meeting new people. I don't participate hugely often but in a new area now so who knows...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have surfed a few times with lovely people and hosted the same people quite a few times. I love both sides; so rarely get to host (CS or otherwise) so revel the opportunity.
Interests
We're both hands-on creative people that love being outdoors. Bushcraft is the big one at the moment, with our business being teaching that. I have taken particular interest in willow work and natural fibres.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most types of music, especially ambient and acoustic genres. Love getting to experience and appreciate music I haven't heard before.
As for books, I read alot surrounding various environmental books, favourite being 'The World Without Us'. I'm currently reading The Book of Dust.
I really enjoy children's picture books and have been compiling a selection of environmentally themed ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Underground caverns hold incredible formations that are hard to imagine until you're down there looking at them. Some people go caving for the sport, I go for the incredible sights.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can share bushcraft skills! If you fancy helping out in the woodland on your stay, there are all sorts of interesting projects going on.
I can teach various "old" skills, such as preserving, baking, wool spinning, basketry, and crochet.
If people come at the right time and are up for it, my partner is an exceptional guitarist and would no doubt enjoy a jam.
