To walk in or beside as many peoples shoes as I possibly can by traveling. I want to be happy, thrilled, amazed, scared, bewildered and loved every second.

ABOUT ME

I have beat to my own drum my entire life even when there was no noise at all. My friends would all say I am the craziest of the group but I think the exact opposite. I am the first to jump in the fountain or eat the insect or grab and old homeless man and dance with him to the guy playing the saxophone on the street. To me that is not crazy, it's just living! I was constantly getting in trouble for talking in school and would think it was a curse but realize it's a blessing. Everyone has something to say, I want to hear. My favorite thing in the world to do is dance! I don't need a stage, a floor, a partner, or even music for that matter, all I want to do is dance! I have dibble dabbled in a little of everything and have found I can't keep concentrated on one hobby for long but love to say I have tried it! One of those okay at a lot of things but not spectacular at one types. My favorite thing about my job is that I have to take the bus to get to it, I would like to practice martial arts at some point in my life, love the beach, hate egg yolk, am a huge beer connoisseur, want to own a motorcycle, fascinated by acrobats, obsessed with the saxophone but am not musically inclined, watch The Golden Girls a lot, been to 12 Dave Mathews concerts, enjoy getting a half gallon and heading to a cabin in the woods with my friends and I am a huge Indianapolis Colt's, Indiana Pacers and IU Hoosiers fan. But most of all I would like to get lost and get to know as many people as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Just be happy... I know it can be hard to stay positive all of the time but the more I work on it the easier it becomes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had a CS for a while now but have not utilized it the way I should or would like to. Over the next few months I would really like to use CS more because I have quite a few trips planned. I would also like to open up my couch and show people around my little slice of paradise. I have much to learn and am excited to get started!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had an actual couch surfing experience through the website but have had many the old fashioned way. I actually do not really have a place of my own now I work 1 hour away from where I grew up so I go home a day or two a week to regroup then head back to the city to work. My coworkers always laugh at me and call me a little hippy but always take me in, they take such good care of me. My favorite surfing experience was when I was in Amsterdam. My friend was there about a week earlier than I was and had met a gentleman named Hussam, or Sam, as I called him. Sam took me in no questions and showed me all around the city for the next couple days. Sam was born and raised in Egypt but had lived in Amsterdam for 28 years. He truly is a fantasic addition to my life and will never forget his graciousness.

Centres d'intérêt

I am always interested in things I do not know about or haven't experienced yet. They say curiosity killed the cat and it might get me one day too! You know the person that touches the hot pan right after someone says it's hot, this girl right here. I won't believe it until I try it myself, maybe I need to listen more. Nothing usually holds me back from trying what I want to try, my mom gets scared for that reason, but I figure if I use my head and best judgement, I might get myself into a pickle but I'll always find a way out.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I am not a very picky person, I think that's why I like most things. When it comes to picking movies I let someone else do it because I can get into everything. However I really do love my cheesy romantic comedys, what can I say I love a happy ending. I don't do goury, I have fainted before, but can handle a good zombie movie I just close my eyes alot. My friend Jami and I love heading to the Northside of the city and checking out a little movie theater that plays Indy films, also you can bring beer and wine, not a bad thing! Music can be classified just like my movies, I like it all. Whatever is on, I WILL dance to. My heart lies in hip hop and if you saw me dance you would understand why. I have been in love with it since I was very young. But being raised by a hippy born in 47 I naturally loved my Floyd, Led Zepplin, The Who, and a party girl born in 64 loved my Aerosmith, Janet and Michael, Tina. My house is full of music! My mom makes fun of my "weirdo" music as she calls it but I experiment with alot, very rarely do I find something I can't shake to. I am not a natural born reader, I've had to force myself especially the last couple of years to read and try to keep my mind sharp. Most recently I read the Kite Runner and Gulliver's Travels, I enjoyed both very much. I like biographys especially ones of rock stars, they normally live some crazy lives.

The most amazing thing I've seen in my life is watch a person struggle and almost die from a terrible addiction and turn thier life around to help others with the same problem. Whenever I think I can't do something I think of this and realize it's not all that hard.
