ABOUT ME

Rick: Sociable geek that loves talking about pretty much anything. Loves conversation and exploring new ideas. If you have or are working on a PhD, be prepared to talk in great detail about your thesis.
Carrie: Enjoys seeing new things and spending time with family. We are newly married (five year in December). We are from Oregon and moved to Seattle a several years ago.
Fenton: This newest addition to our family was born in July of 2010. He is an awesome baby and we will probably talk way too much about him as any excited parents would do.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We tell tons of people (both that we know and strangers) what a great community it is. We also included it in our Christmas letter. Little did we know that one of our long time friends was also in the couchsurfing community!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mainly involves crashing at a friend or family members home. We are excited about becoming more involved in this new community!

Update: We have met some awesome people in this community. We have only surfed with one person elsewhere and it was the highlight of our trip. Since then we have welcomed people to stay with us in Seattle. It is a popular destination and as such we have met some amazing people. We hope to get out there and do some more surfing ourselves.
