About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"the ship is safest when it's in port, but that's not what ships were built for"
ABOUT ME
first started this profile with a friend for a journey through spain and walking the camino de santiago. here's the blog we kept while traveling: youguysaregreat.blogspot.com
now, i'm living in boise. working and finishing up school, counting the days until i'm traveling once more. i love art-making, meeting new people, being with my dog, camping, the pacific north west, spicy food, crusty bread, deep meaningful conversation, reading, learning, rain storms...
i'm a happy home-body (an INFP, if you're into personality stuff...), but i do really enjoy zooming around town (or sometimes slowwwwly wandering). for me, a really joyful night involves dinner with friends and quiet inspired conversation. i'm usually not interested in bars, clubs, etc. but folks who stay with me are welcome to adventure on their own, of course.
how i like to travel: with a backpack and a few pairs of socks, sturdy shoes, and not much money. love to go where locals go, eat what locals eat. up for tents, trailers, yurts, or sleeping under the stars. totally jazzed by spontaneous and random changes of plans to include a more enriching experience. i love long train, plane, and car rides and the neato people and perfect conversations you find when sitting next to someone for a great distance.
PHILOSOPHY
openness, sharing, compassion: i believe in learning from the world's people, teaching what we have to offer, enriching ourselves, being generous with what we have, sharing our love, being love in the world, and practicing commitment to small but meaningful action.
