ABOUT ME

Martin: I am ehh... well actually this profile also includes my wife Heather. And i guess you would have to meet us before you could actually find out how we are.

Heather: O.k. after that lovely description, I think there are at least one or two things I could add... ;-) As for me, my mom lives here in Denmark, and My dad lives in the US, so I consider both places my home... I studied International Relations and European Studies, and finished my Masters Degree in the summer of 2007, and am now a PhD fellow in the Department of Business Studies, Aalborg University. I am researching Innovation and Knowledge management in the Wind Energy sector. I think it is safe to say that Both Martin and I are pretty easy-going, and like to meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Heather is a vegetarian, and Martin is not, so both can be accommodated :-)

We used to host people and maybe we will again, but for right now we are taking a break. We recently had a daughter and our apartment is pretty small so we dont really have to much time to give people the attention they deserve.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We surfed in Italy, and absolutely loved all of the experiences we had there. We met some really great people, and got a chance to see Italian culture in a way we never would have otherwise. We have also started hosting people, which is a lot of fun.

Music: We both like heavy metal and hard rock, but also listen to classical and I (Heather) also like guitar/surfer music ( Jack Johnson).

Books: anything by Clive Barker, William King R. A. Salvatore, political literature generally...

Movies: Orange County (NOT the series), Almost famous, Walk the line, Lost Highway, Orgazmo, Kingpin, Grandma's Boy (stupid name, GREAT movie)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Heather: Seeing giant sequoia trees in California, and driving Highway 1 along the beautiful coast there. Countless road trips across the US, and a year spent traveling Europe with my best girlfriend when I was 18 was also an amazing experience.

Martin: I was once a passenger on a Hercules airplane , and when i needed to pee i had to pee out of a hole on the side of the airplane.
