About Me

ABOUT ME
I currently live with my partner in the French Alps, about 15 minutes from Morzine, France. In winter we go to warmer climes. I'm just getting back into the couchsurfing community after many years away, so am excited to host, meet new people and help other travellers!

I was born in Canada then spent ages 7-17 in Asia, moving around a fair bit with my parents and six siblings. During my 20s and 30s I set roots in the region of Ottawa, Canada, started a nature school with my sister, ran that for7 years, then moved to Bali in 2020, where I went deeper into learning tantra and creative alchemy. I now teach tantra through a diverse perspective that includes other wellness arts, authentic relating, and western psychology. I also offer tantra healing massage and thai yoga massage, helping people come back to their body and experience more peace, power and purpose in their lives.
I have a great love for mother earth, being immersed in nature, and facilitating nature connection as well.

PHILOSOPHY

My focus is to help people (including myself) connect with meaningful experiences, and to grow full with love, empathy, and joy. And to play, lighten up, and have fun!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet new people, see new places (learning from local folks), and enjoy sharing my home and food with visitors.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I lived in Burlington, Vermont, then Chelsea, Quebec, my housemates and I hosted a few people and enjoyed meeting travelers. Now I live seasonally with my partner Dan in the French Alps, where we have a spare bedroom and are happy to host couchsurfers.

Growing up in a big family, I am no stranger to living room floors and camp mats. My favourite "couch-surfing" experience was going to see the Chinese circus perform in Baalbec, Lebanon. I didn't know what I was going to do in Baalbec, since I was traveling alone, and when I went to this performance I couldn't find a seat. A Lebanese gentleman spotted me looking confused and jumped down from the stage, assisted me to a seat next to his kind brother, then after the performance his family invited me to stay at their house for several days. Such hospitality!

Interests

In addition to the above interests, I love transformative nature education, culture, music, eating wholesome healthy food, connecting to people on the heart-to-heart level, laughing, star-gazing, and remembering that 'Life is fun, enthusiasm, and excitement.'

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you exercises for your wellbeing, such as specific yoga stretches and qigong sets to help with any body stiffness or issue you're dealing with. I can teach you meditations for enhancing your life-force energy/vitality, tips for improving intimacy in your relationships, or how to cook certain Thai and Indian dishes.
