About Me

I'm a chill, unserious and relatively down-to-earth person.
Every day I try to live by my motto "don't worry, be happy" (thanks Bobby McFerrin!). But this is of course not so easy all the time. Life has ups and downs.

I love creating things.
Weather they be photographies, paintings, musical pieces, an event, furniture or a computer program.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I would like to have the opportunity to travel around the world, even if I have no money.
And because all couchsurfers I've met has been interresting and wonderful in some way =)

I have not yet hosted anyone on a couch, and at the moment I don't have one.
But I'd really like to help keep this wonderful community alive, and as soon as I have a couch, or floor, or extra bed, I'll start hosting guests :)

Interests

I love taking pictures to capture experiences and show my friends the beautiful places I've seen and people I've met.

I love losing myself completely in music. Both as the creator and listener.

I love expressing myself through my poi, fusing dance and technical tricks into wonderful flow. Poi is a kind of object manipulation art in which you spin two (or sometimes more) balls-in-the-end-of-a-string. It can be combined with dancing and can be both technical and flowy.
Here is a video of me playing around in my old apartment:

I love it when I have deep conversations, with both friends and strangers. But this is sometimes hard, and something I want to be better at.
And I also like silly conversations with no more meaning than the fun they create in the moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

In music I like many genres. But at the moment modern fusions of enthnical and folk music from around the world is what captivates me the most.
And as a handpan player, I really love listening to other handpan players.

In books, sci-fi and fantasy are my favourite genres. I love letting my imagination take me to strange, foreign and mysterious worlds that I would not be able to experience here on earth today.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to the amazon rainforest and participated in plant ceremonies with shamans. Easily one of the top 3 amazing things I've done, and I learnt a lot about myself in the process.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach what I know about poi, photography, music and computers.
I could also teach you a thing or two about biology which I have been studying for almost three years.
Teaching someone and seeing them learn from it is something I really enjoy.

I would love to learn some more yoga, acroyoga or similar kinds of movement arts.
I would also love to learn a language, but I need someone to speak it with, or else I lose motivation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share music, stories and food recipies with hosts.
If you want a fire-poi or LED-poi show I can also do that ;)
