About Me
For me, the most important things in life are:
Health, Work and Fun - in THAT order.
Physically I stay very active. I go to gym, walk or sometimes run. I like to socialize, party, and travel. I have worked for 30+ years. I am ready to retire and travel.
I like to think I am humorous but my kids disagree.
I like watching documentaries, mostly on Netflix or PBS.
I think most people are good at heart - no matter who they are and where they are from.
I am almost a vegetarian - getting there at my own pace. At my home we eat dinner very late - around 10pm. You can enjoy a drink, while you wait.
Dinner is usually gossip time, ideas time, relax time, story time. Fun usually comes to an end, when someone has to do the dishes.
I make very good food (I think). But keep in mind, I am an experimental cook. You are taking your chances when I cook ! But, to give you some reassurance, I have not disappointed any of my friends yet. Some even ask for the recipe, which I never have or need.
Now if you like to cook and you want to experiment- the lab and the guinea pigs are yours. We all will have fun. But remember we are clean freaks. If you rush and are messy in the kitchen, it might create an awkward moment. That should be ok, because I can help clean up.
School is very very hard work here. So is the job that pays the bills. Everyone here has to work their ass off, whether you are in school or you have a job. Within our family, we do not tolerate lower than A+ effort on anything we do. That is the only way to have more fun.
Friends who visit us do enjoy their stay with us.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am curious about CS and it seems very interesting and appealing to me for many reasons. For now I am starting to experiment to find out how well it works for me and others.
Through travel, I want to meet interesting people and see the world at my own pace. I want to learn a thing or two from whoever I meet.
To make more friends around the globe. To learn more about people, cultures, history and places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have not done anything amazing. But I have learned how to stay healthy and enjoy life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my story how I came to visit America and never left.
I like to learn about home remedies that people found effective in taking care of common illnesses.
I am an engineer and very hands on, I can pretty much help with any project.
I can teach Bhangra - a dance from North India, which has become very popular around the globe. For me Bhangra is just a good workout.
I can share some life lessons I have learned over time. I am always interested to learn from others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I come with good intentions. I can cook and make healthy food. I can help with any small project the host may have. Share stories, experiences, my life lessons. Walk, Go to Gym, Bike etc. Do some gardening. Just have a conversation over a cup of tea, coffee, beer, wine, nimbu-pani etc.
