ABOUT ME

Hey guys, I'm Hardy. I was raised by wolves on a cattle ranch in Northern California. I spent most of my childhood exploring the countryside with my dog and old Yashica camera. The feeling of being lost and being out of my comfort zone still inspires my curiosity today. I currently work as a freelance photographer in San Francisco and am fortunate enough to say that each day is quite different from the next. I love being outside in the forest behind my house, playing practical jokes on my friends, and hosting dinner parties. I couldn't imagine anything more uninteresting than sleeping, though sometimes it feels so damn good. I can easily be seduced by good bbq and a big laugh. Overall, I consider myself one of the luckiest guys around and want to share the love.

PHILOSOPHY

Truly knowing that you are alive, living this very moment, is the best thing you can ever ask for. It leads to more joy and serendipitous moments.

It's how old you feel not how old you are.

Make sure you know who your true friends and family are and remind them what they mean to you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have hosted people in California, Colorado, and many friends and acquaintances in Brazil. Couchsurfed with some awesome Ecuadorian girls in Buenos Aires, the best food tour guide in Oaxaca, stayed with hosts in Vietnam and Thailand, barbie'd it up with a fine young chap in Sydney, stayed with two awesome pastors in North Dakota, drank too much beer with some fun hosts in Alaska, toured Istanbul with a couchsurfer, and experienced Mongolia with a great couchsurfing host.
