Overview
About Me
I'm someone that my friends would describe as an individual that is curious about the world around them. I love exploring new places, learning about new things, and meeting new people and hearing their stories. I live in New Zealand, and am currently studying Civil Engineering and Economics at the University of Auckland. I recently travelled part of Asia during our summer break.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people, and making new friends. Already on my relatively short travels I've met many amazing strangers, heard and been enthralled by their stories, and had brilliant chats and banter with them. I'm on Couchsurfing so that I can hopefully meet and become friends with locals in the places I am fortunate enough to visit, and have us both exchange with each other our experiences from our own home countries and places we've travelled to.

Music, Movies, and Books
For books I love anything with a bit of adventure - my classic favourites are The Famous Five, Huckleberry Finn, and Artemis Fowl. But I also relish ransacking the non-fiction section of my local library when I'm trying to learn a new skill. The most recent of which has been sewing.
When it comes to movies and shows - it's got to be action/comedy. Pretty much any Rowan Atkinson or superhero film will get me. As will an animated film with a good story.
For music, I love anything with a good beat that you can groove to. But my favourites are Bruno Mars, MKTO, Elvis Presley, and Maroon 5. I can barely resist bobbing at least one part of my body to the beat whenever I hear something I like.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I volunteered for five years, with thousands of hours, helping send other young people on overseas exchanges to travel the world and develop their leadership skills through the youth leadership organisation AIESEC.
I've also been part of a team that designed and built an electric race car for a student formula racing competition - the Formula SAE competition in Australia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about why things are the way they are, or how things work - so if you want to hear a random fact about why the sky is blue, the bubbles in your fizzy drink rise at different speeds, advice for public speaking, or how to service a car and do basic DIY around the house and with electronics, hit me up!
I'm wanting to learn more about the people and places I go visit - in particular learning new languages and phrases as I go - so that I may be better able to express myself.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love fixing things - so if you have a basic home DIY task (I'm the one who fixes things at our flat), a simple issue with your car (I bought a car than only ran for 20 minutes at a time, and then fixed it up), or something wrong with your computer (I like tinkering with Windows computers, and can do things like troubleshooting software issues, or replacing a hard drive); I'd be more than happy to take a look!
I can also help teach English and Tamil, being able to speak both fluently.
And if you like food, then I'm also able to cook a few simple but tasty dishes from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Thailand - and would be more than happy to cook you some.
