About Me
I was once fully verified when it only cost a few pennies, but my old profile was lost or deleted while I was off the grid. I've since realized the "verification" CS provides is worse than Uber, so I refuse to do it again. The .com service has been terrible compared to the previous .org. Oh-well.
If you want to get a warm welcome to Couchsurfing in Phoenix, I suggest joining us for our weekly meet up held every Tuesday at 1900 MST. If the time shown is different, it's because the organizer(s) forgot to correct the CS time zone glitch. Check the actual event for the location as it varies throughout the Valley.
---------------
I primarily grew up in Phoenix, went away for school, and have already had two careers which took me all over the world. Now, I am back in AZ to study business and engineering which is a completely new path in my life. One of the things I enjoy most is travelling and meeting people--from a Costa Rican real estate developer to an Australian surfer, I have met a lot of cool personalities along the way! I love international travel, but need to take a road trip every so often because so much can be explored around here. I still have the vehicle my parents gave me as a kid and I have taken it to every state but three; I have visited every state but two! Can you guess which ones?
I live for adventure. I am an avid runner, but after winning an ultra-marathon, I decided there is nothing much more to prove to myself on that front. Except for hashing, of course. I have been named for over 20 years! I am also an avid scuba diver and dirt/mountain biker so living on a desert mountain with saltwater nearby suites me quite well. Got fins or wheels? I am fortunate to have everything I want and own everything I have. Living life debt and guilt free is the best way. I keep good company and would be happy to call you a friend. Whether for a drink, to play some pub games, or to stretch my legs, I'm always willing to get out of the house, so let me know if you need an advocate. It's tough being an adult college "kid," so I could use a good adult friend to visit the local watering hole with, scuba dive in Puerto Peñasco, jump out of a perfectly good airplane, or find a breakfast café beyond the horizon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to travel to exotic destinations, see beautiful places, and meet interesting people. Dare I say the adjectives are interchangeable with the nouns in the previous sentence for fear I show I may not be as smart as a 5th grader? Anyway, Couchsurfing is just another platform to meet awesome people in a personable and ecumenical way and it takes a special kind of person to allow a complete stranger to stay in their home for free. Too many Americans I know wouldn't want to be on either end of this deal. Shame. What's also shameful are the people who use this platform to hook up and/or sell their products/services.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy classical/instrumental and 40's-90's rock which had a good run until cable TV killed it at the turn of the millennium; most movies, especially those based on books; and most books, especially those not based on movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've whitewater rafted the Amazon, scuba dived in the dark, and played with some awesome baby animals that probably grew up to be snarling messes (i.e. lion, rhino, etc...). I know that's more than one, but I'm indecisive. Haha.
Teach, Learn, Share
A calm sea or sky has never made a skilled diver, but killed aplenty. There is always something to learn from and/or teach to anyone. I can teach the rule I try to live my life by which covers just about every situation imaginable.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm clean, quiet, well-mannered, easy to deal with, and have a great sense of (dry) humor and quick wits. I'm happy to share and listen to stories and develop a lasting friendship.
I'm naturally an introvert, but Uncle Sam helped break that shell. Blame him. Haha.
