I am born in Afghanistan and did my medical degree in Pakistan on full-grade scholarship.
I am here in US with a dream of pursuing my post graduate training. I am almost in the final stages of getting there. Just need to attend a few interviews.
My main goal is to serve and help the low income and under served communities.
I am a very social person who loves to talk to people and getting to know about them. I believe that knowing other people gives me an opportunity to broaden my mind and further my knowledge.
My hobbies are running, watching movies and hanging out with friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason for my being in couch surfing is to meet people during the interviews which I am going to attend. This will prevent me from getting bored. Honestly, accommodation cost is also one of the reason for why I am on couch-surfing.

My favorite books are those that talk about our mind.
2 of my favorite books are : "Power of Now" and "The Mayo Clinic Guide to Stress Free Life".
Since I started my road towards pursuing my career in USA, I have been less often into movies. My favorite movies are X- MEN series and Hangover.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe that coming to USA all by my own is an achievement in itself for me. I am right now the only visa requiring applicant from Afghanistan to apply for residency training in USA.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach cooking Afghan foods to my hosts.
I can teach them a lot about science and about how the amazing human body works.

I can share my ideas and the story of my road from Afghanistan to USA with my hosts. Moreover, we can talk regarding the cultural differences between USA and Afghanistan.
