Overview
About Me
Ive lived in Los Angeles for 16 years, Pakistan for 7 years and now I’m based in San Diego for the last 3 years. Ive seen both ends of the spectrum, Ive been enlightened by my wanderlust.
I graduated from the University of California at Davis, studying International Political Economy. I am 26 years old, I love to travel in my free time- and do it very excessively.
I have been to 62 countries and fly roughly 130,000 miles a year for dimes on the dollar( doing what I call travel hacking- finding loopholes in the travel industry) with the goal of visiting all 196 UN recognized countries before I reach 30 years old. . Although as a grow older I realize this goal may be a bit unrealistic, with some countries visas near impossible to get by both Americans and Brits(I am both)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
More than anything it’s to meet the very small percentage of the population who have the travelers mind. Those who think outside the box and are able to engage in deep, intelligent, enlightening conversation, and of course to make some amazing friends on this journey we call life.
Couchsurfing is a very unique way for me to not only meet locals, but also get used to the culture of the area I visit. Staying at a hotel doesn't give you that culture shock one looks for when visiting a new land. I love showing tourists around as well and try to give back to the couchsurfing world by having people stay over when they need to.
I have accommodation available for fellow global couch surfers in Sunny San Diego, CA, and Islamabad, Pakistan, depending on where I am.
Interests
Having lived in both extremes of society, the first world of America and the third world of Pakistan, I naturally have a desire to live or at least experience everything and everywhere in between these two extremes. I am a passionate traveler always looking for a new adventure.
I Love experimenting with new things, and testing the waters
It is my dream to travel as much of the world as one possibly can in a lifetime.

Music:
I listen to a lot of deep house and progressive. Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, Above and Beyond. Dont listen to much mainstream stuff that parties at clubs or on the radios. Lots of feel good, deep melodic beats.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove along the pacific coast from los angeles to seattle, then drove to chicago, then atlanta, then new orleans, then back to los angeles, 9500 miles in 2 weeks in December 2014, a total of 22 States. It was my first time to over 95% of these destinations.
I flew to Hong Kong from LA for a day and flew back for $250 for the miles (which I then later used for a free round trip to Amsterdam a couple months later)
October of 2017 I flew from Bangkok to Tokyo via the United States for the frequent flier miles. Ended up getting the equivalent of a free round trip from the Us to Asia that I I could use pretty much whenever
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I speak a few central Asian, Subcontinental languages, mainly the languages spoken in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. They are fairly easy languages to pick up and Im happy to explain/teach what I can.
But most importantly I want to share experiences and stories with fellow surfers, learn new languages, at least bits and pieces to begin with, but most of all travel as much of the world, to as many countries and cities as I possibly can and satisfy my ever growing wanderlust
Learn: you will soon notice I am an extremely congenial and curious individuals. I truly have the curiosity of a 5 year old- I ask dozens of questions a day: I make it a point to learn something new everyday
Share: I live this nomadic lifestyle by a process I call travel hacking- where I find accommodations, rental cars and most importantly, airfare for dimes on the dollar. Think something like $80 New York to Paris or $110 Los Angeles to Stockholm or $300 dallas to Hong Kong and back. I try teaching my skills to whoever is interested. It’s a simple algorithm that anyone can learn using a few websites- a booking website like google flights or kayak, a research site like google ita matrix and a forum where everyone who talks about this kinda stuff conglomerates online- called flyertalk.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of life experience and amazing travel stories
Amazing travel hacking skills, how to find cheap flights, cheap rental cars and cheap accommodation. Its a hobby of mine but I love inspiring fellow travelers and enabling people to go further for less!
