About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get the facts straight.

ABOUT ME

It took me over a year of CSing before I became confident enough and changed my English skills to expert level. Yieppee for that. I simply hated the idea of keeping false hope as I knew there's plenty of room for improving my English and preferred to keep it low instead of stating something I just didn't feel right. There's still lots of room for improvement but thanks to all my guests and other people I've met through CS I've been able to improve my language skills a lot. A big thank you to them and for you too if we're about to meet. Learning English is one of the major reasons I joined CS in the first place after all.

As they say, having someone as English speaking company is best practice one can imagine of. Getting to know new people on top of that is simply something money can't buy.

So on the other hand I'm always interested in meeting new people spontaneously - exactly what CS is designed for. Someone might say I'm a little bit of a shy person but in general I truly enjoy hooking up for a brief chat without further notice.

That being said, I'm not so much interested in couchsurfing myself, literally speaking, but it doesn't mean you weren't allowed to stay at my place. Quite the opposite actually, I'm willing to host, and eventually will most likely try this interesting idea of meeting people at their homes too. I also keep asking people to join for a coffee or walk, if I happen to check nearby travelers list, which is something I never get tired of.

PHILOSOPHY

Now imagine you don't have to imagine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Now after having dozens of positive CS experiences, I decided it was time to get verified, and am constantly bugging people to do the same to keep the site alive and kicking. Also I'm trying to share these great experiences with other CSers I'm about to meet. CS is simply awesome concept and deserves to be promoted.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been mostly hosting and had lots of great moments with my guests, hopefully they've been enjoying my hospitality as much as I've enjoyed their company. In general most important lesson I've learned is that it's best to avoid making up any kind of expectations towards your guests - every single person has been so different from one another. Basic manners is all I've been expecting and hoping that made my guests had it as homelike experience for themselves as possible. Simple concept and it has worked for me so far at least and the rest can be read from my references.

Interests

Maybe it's the age but currently I find strolling around the most important invention ever made, and it's quite likely you can find me outdoors while I'm not doing some other sports. I've noticed that my brain seems to work more properly while moving compared to sitting in one place for more than 15mins - which is something I'm really lousy at. So don't be surprised if I ask you to join me for a walk instead of going to nearby pubs. Another reason for such a silly behavior is that I don't drink.

Also because I spend a lot of time at the office fooling around with computer related stuff, they call it my job I get paid for, during my spare time I try to do something totally different. In practice this means running, swimming, going to gym and strolling as mentioned earlier. Anything but sitting still.

Music, Movies, and Books

TV/Movies; No thank you, but thanks for asking. I don't have a TV and watch movies very rarely. Inception was pretty cool though.

Books; Anything goes, quite lazy reader, and no special interests as long it's written in English.

Music; Somewhere around this, this and this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I learned multiplication in maths. Ha, I can still remember the joy of not needing to memorize multiplication tables anymore \o/

Teach, Learn, Share

Are you interested in C/C++? Java? Mathematics? 3d graphics? I have a couple of books available for reading if you find such topics interesting.

I hope not. I preferred to teach you 'yes' in five different languages instead.

Countries I’ve Visited
