Hello! My name is Harley, New Zealand born and bred and Marie-Eve is my lovely Fiancee from Quebec, Canada. Marie and I share the same passion for travel, visiting over 45 countries across 6 continents so far!

We are open minded, easy going, adventurous and kind hearted people who do our best to make a difference in this world, always trying to help people and animals alike.

We are in our happy place when we are outdoors hiking, camping, diving, at festivals and exploring the unknown. We prefer the less traveled places and eating food we have never seen before at local spots. Good wine and a nice craft beer also tickles our fancy, lets go grab a drink?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We joined Couchsurfing to meet new people and hopefully get a feel for a new place through a locals eyes, we feel this is the best way to soak up the best of somewhere and see past the usual tourist attractions.

When we can't find a place on Couchsurfing we prefer to stay at hostels over hotels, the vibe is always enjoyable and what better way to meet fellow travellers!

Sorry we don't have a couch at the moment so we can't host! When we eventually do choose a place to settle down we will be happy to host fellow couch surfers!

Interests

Harley: Loves getting up the mountain on a cold winters day for some snowboarding. When in tropical places he likes getting under the water doing some scuba diving and finishing the day off by relaxing on the beach with a cold beer as the sun goes down.

Marie-Eve: Her favourite hobby is photography, specifically travel photography. She also loves getting up at the break of dawn to hike a good trail in the mountains, and finishing the day off with a nice glass of wine under the stars.

Together we also love seeing the world and having a good time at any festival we can find whether it is cultural, arts or music!

Music, Movies, and Books

We love all sorts of music: A good rock tune, some pumping EDM, chilling out to some reggae/dub... Our ears are always open to new music as well, so if you have any to share then please be our guest!

We love reading a good non-fiction novel, something with a bit of truth behind it. Even better is reading a book about a place your about to visit/currently visiting! Marching Powder while in Bolivia... Shantaram before getting to India...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mountain biking down death road in Bolivia, hauling! Diving with whale sharks in Australia, sailing trip from Panama to Colombia, jumping off a 100M bridge in Ecuador, Hot air ballooning over Kings Valley... The list goes on.

It's more than one, we know... We couldn't choose!

Teach, Learn, Share

Marie is fluent in French and Spanish if you are trying to learn any of these languages, Harley can help out with any electrical problems you may have, and we both love to cook if you just feel like kicking back and relaxing!

We are more than happy to cook for you! We can also provide some pretty cool travel stories, advice and some laughs :)
