Hey my name is Harm. (Yes, that’s an actual name. It’s old, and my parents found it on a grave stone in Holland. I know it’s spooky but what can you do, when your still waiting for Google to be invented)

I am a traveler since I was born. My parents loved to be on the road whenever they could. When I was old enough and able to effort it I was gone with friends. Mainly sailing somewhere (the low budget form of sailing - not the fancy one) and then I started traveling for work. Full Time for 13 years. (Why and how that was is probably a good story for a beer - why it ended for a whiskey.) Since 3 years I live in Malta and before that I was for 2 years what the fancy Kids Call a “Digital Nomad”.

Now I love to be on the road by motorbike. My own one is a Royal Enfield Bullet 500 with the name “Rose”. (I didn’t find that one on a gravestone) or with a bike that I rent wherever I am.

My big inspiration in life is Anthony Bourdain. Since you are a traveler you will probably know him. I love how he saw the world and it’s inhabitants. And trying some snails in a dirty bar in some lonely place at the end of the world is really my thing.

I love to meet people. Especially the honest, natural and authentic ones. I don’t judge. Whatever makes you happy, makes you happy and I am happy when I can understand what that is.

I am new to Couchsurfing. So I don’t know if this is the advertising one needs to find a place or a good host but I promise you, I would be happy and grateful to stay and your home and I will treat it as such and if you come to my place and bring the same attributes your more than welcome in my house.
