Do not be dogmatic, neither ignorant - one can't change the world, though one can make a difference if one tries to understand what already is and if one reflects on what ones decisions actually do. Am I too pragmatic? I wouldn't say so. Am I realistic? I do my best...

Well, I am an architect and I am a philosopher (of science, technology and society) and I have a particular fascination for how the world of people (i.e. to world of sociology and the human sciences) and the world of things (i.e. the world of technology, design and the human sciences) come together and are inextricably connected (in philosophy of technology this is called mediation theory), especially in the realm of architecture and urban planning.
With regard to the history and theory of architecture I am a specialist on the writings of Aldo van Eyck.
