I am a doctoral student at Western Michigan University. I work in a research lab, and as a coordinator for an undergraduate lecture class. I live with my wonderful boyfriend, and our dog (who is the most amazing dog ever!). All three of us LOVE the outdoors and almost any activity that involves exploring it: hiking, kayaking, biking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, shoeing, exploring, etc. I am a pretty easy going person, but I generally have a lot of energy, meaning that the only time I sit still is when I am studying, sleeping, and the occasional movie. Oh, and I love science!

I love traveling, but am also trying to survive on a graduate student stipend that hardly covers the necessities. I also want to provide somewhere for people in similar situations to stay when visiting or passing through Kalamazoo.
