ABOUT ME

I travelling extensively through Europe, the US and then had this life changing experience while living off-grid in Argentina in 2014. This trip changed my perspective on life and really propelled me to manifest the life I have now. Living on Vancouver island farming, practicing herbalism and living my best life.

PHILOSOPHY

I get up each and everyday to learn something new about the world that surrounds me, through people, plants and creativity. My natural impulses of exploration and learning drive me to just be in the world, and slow down to really take in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well I haven't used it in years, because I retired from travelling. However I though it would be a great way to meet like minded people on my vacation.

Interests

Herbalism and anything plant related, art- my current practice in primarily botanical. I love to wildcraft food and medicine, forage, camp, hike, Yoga, Meditation, Astrology, Tarot. I have a wide range of interests in my life, I live a pretty holistic life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Attempting to not voice the proverbial "i like all kinds" I usually do like movies in all "genres" however, I do have directors and Cinematographers I am specifically keen on....Including such favourites as: Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, Amelie, My Girl, Kill Bill's 1&2, Pulp Fiction, Little Miss Sunshine, Pan's Labyrinth, Spirited Away, The Girl Who Leapt through time & Rocky Horror Picture Show etc.

Music: Is more or less a perpetually growing list with a long list of bands crossing through many genres. Favs include: Metric, , Queen, Bowie, The Dø, Sleigh Bells, Bishop Briggs MJ, Blondie, MGMT, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs Alt J, Grimes, Grizzly Bear, Metremony, Local Natives, Dinosaur Jr, Passion Pit, Ra, Ra Riot, Five Alarm Funk, Detroit Cobras etc... the list goes on and on

I have a tons of classics I love, but recently reads include: Braiding Sweetgrass, Belonging, If women Rose Rooted, along with a long list of Herbal Medicine Reference Texts

Teach, Learn, Share

While surfing, I would love to connect with people while enjoying the beauty of whatever place I find myself in. You can usually find me making art, cooking, baking, practicing herbal medicine, plant id, hiking and astrology.
