Simply put, I want to see the world! As a recent college grad, if I'm going to make that happen, it needs to be on the cheap. Couchsurfing provides an inexpensive way to make sure I have a roof over my head when visiting a new place, and it also provides a great opportunity to gain some insight into how locals go about their day-to-day lives. It's a much more enlightening and enriching experience than simply staying in a hotel or in a hostel with fellow tourists.

I'm notorious for taking "too many" photos when traveling. Too many? No such thing in my book! I also enjoy strolling through museums and galleries, exploring the streets and sights, admiring the architecture, and shopping for groceries where the locals shop.

Indie, acoustic, and classical are my go-to's. But I also like post-rock, alternative, and some pop music.

Favorite movies include Fight Club, Amélie, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, The Secret of Kells, Stranger Than Fiction, and many more.

Favorite books include Fahrenheit 451, The Thirteenth Tale, Slaughterhouse-Five, Language in Thought and Action, and Snowbound: A Winter Idyll.

There are only a few languages I have a strong interest in mastering, but I love learning bits and pieces of all languages. If you're familiar with the history of your country/region and know your way around, I'd also greatly appreciate a teacher and tour guide!
