About Me

CURRENT MISSION

College was... well... it's over anyway. Now I am going to do a little traveling before I join that "machine" everyone keeps telling me about : )

ABOUT ME

This is hard... I hate this question. It always kinda feels like a polite way to brag, and I suck at that.

I love music- I have already picked the songs they will play at my funeral. It's kind of an obsession.

I dabble playing acoustic instruments and percussion. Recently I started playing around with producing electronic down tempo stuff.

I am not the most well read person, but I do love a good book. I sometimes write short stories when I get bored; the prose is definitively more interesting that these paragraphs here.

I bike, a lot. I like it. It's fun. I own a car but I hate them when they whiz by me and yell obscenities about getting on to the sidewalk and out of their way.

Aesthetically? I'm just another white guy. So no luck there for originality.

I love the outdoors, and spend plenty of time therein. However if I am indoors, (insert innuendo for debauchery).

We are all just a collection of our experiences, and at my age I have had quite a few. I really enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and getting to see their point of view. There has never been a prince nor a pauper I couldn't see eye to eye with.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short. If your bored, your boring. You can't take money with you. Don't waste pearls on swine. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. To each his own. Let he/she who is perfect throw the first stone. Don't own more, want less. No rough morning is worse than a great night. Life is like a box of chocolates... and unfortunately I'm allergic to nuts, which rules out me eating like half of the damned box.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just started, I have several friends who have been couch surfing for a while and now I find myself in need of its services. I have met quite a few drifters on their couches and had great experiences with the CS community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met couch surfer's that have either been surfing in my town or hosted by my friends. Every time has been a good experience, each with their own stories and good feelings towards CS.

Interests

I am interested in realizing I just spent the "about me section" discussing my interests.

But also good bourbon, concerts, words, bad British comedies, good fresh vegetables, reasons to stay up late, reasons to wake up early, good laughs, good friends, sauvignon blac, warm clean laundry, riddles, cooking something I never ate when I was growing up, places unseen, soccer, animals.
