I'm easy going, curious and sometimes a bit crazy.

I like interactions with other people, discussions or stories about all kinds of topics. I have a tv but it's only connected to my pc to watch movies on a larger screen. I don't follow the news and like to form my own opinion about things from a combination of my own experiences and discussions with others.

My interests are varied, things like human behaviour and things outside the normal. I'm a big fantasy fan too :) But basically I am curious about anything that catches my interest at some point.

I do expect you to read my full profile, also the home section before you send a request. If that is too much trouble for you, I will assume that you are only interested in a free stay. I am offering you the hospitality of my home, I do not run a free hotel!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people I would otherwise never encounter! :)

When I traveled I would always prefer staying with a local friend over hotels because I like to see the place from their point of view, share their life for a while.
I am new to the site couchsurfing but have done my share of surfing couches :)

Right now I can't travel much, so I'm mainly here as host hoping to get those same interesting interactions with all kinds of people.

I like to have guests but I can be picky with who I will accept in my house. The fact that you ask does not mean I have to accept. It's my house after all and I only want people there that I would willingly invite!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really do favorites.

Mostly read fantasy books, though I will read other books as well. Detectives, SF, thrillers, historical, and anything with a good story.

As for movies I will watch almost anything depending on my mood :)

Same thing goes for music really.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Long time ago a friend in Wales wanted to show me a luxury resort. Due to lack of time, we ended up there in the middle of the night during a rainstorm.
It was pitch black. Then there would be a lightning flash and suddenly we would see the most amazing white buildings around us with little gold towers and colored balconies. Only for half a second. We walked there for almost an hour in the pouring rain watching this fantasy world appear around us with every lightning flash. It was pure magic! :)

I never saw the place by daylight, nor do I want to. And have no clue where it was.

Teach, Learn, Share

ehrm? My life experience? I can't really say, what I share depends on who I am with.
If you happen to be learning Dutch or English I could teach you that. Or if you speak Arabic then maybe you could help me learn that language :)

For the rest I simply like to learn new things as I am curious by nature.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Company, stories, knowledge about things I may know and you may want to know about. and if I stay at your place of course I will clean up my own stuff and help you with chores if you want.
I would like more then just a place to sleep and will share what I can.
