Big hello from (currently very rainy) Bristol

I am not altogether new to this site, however it has been many years since I last checked it out and I have no idea what my login details are/were. Anyway, I thought I would give it another crack.

As the profile suggests, I am Harriet a 29year old female from Cornwall (near Falmouth for those of you that know). Have been living in Bristol for the last 11 months and prior to that spent 6 years in Norwich studying and working.

Not a huge fan of flying but absolutely love to travel, and meet new people. I studied International Development at uni (several years ago now) in the hope that I would work abroad. Winded up in community work in not so exotic Norwich and Bristol so having to come up with other means and excuses of seeing and experiencing the world.

Bubbly personality, very friendly and good sense of humour. Thoughtful and kind.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Was recommended to this site by several friends who thought it might help me plan and find accommodation for my upcoming trip to SE Asia (South Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia).

My partner Dan and I are setting off on a 3 month trip at the end of January 2016 (arriving into Kuala Lumpur on the 27th January and flying back home on 26th April). We have worked out a rough itinerary but would welcome any tips, suggestions or offers of places to crash - hence the couch surfing profile.

Music taste is very varied. Was very into deep house nights a couple of years back and more recently started going to dub and techno nights (which seems to be a big thing in Bristol).
Love bands. Devoted glastonbury goer. And dabble in a bit of piano/chill out music.

Bit generic but I raised over £1000 skydiving for MacMillan Cancer trust.
Also spent 3 months on a full scholarship at Oxford University...before controversially jacking it in.

Happy to muck in with chores and very good with children - happy to provide some entertainment, help with homework, babysit etc.
