I'm looking to get settled into Boston. I'm starting an internship and would love to meet interesting people to hang out with and share some beers and talk music!

ABOUT ME

I love to cook for people, hiking and camping, making fun d.i.y cocktails, doing small, creative things that make life a bit nicer. I like jokes; good, bad, cheeeesy, the lot! I really enjoy remembering and re-telling crazy travelling stories from the road. I reckon I'm pretty easy going and down to earth, I love to ask lots of questions, learn about people and get interested in what’s happening around my city!

PHILOSOPHY

To be interested and open to new people and experiences. While traveling the world is obviously totally mind blowing, I'm also curious about everyday life and discovering unexpected new ways of doing things.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love sharing recommendations for music, food, books, TV and movies. I really enjoy a good YouTube journey after a few brews! I worked in a Syrian restaurant for 5 years when I was a student and learnt so many amazing, tasty Middle Eastern dishes that I really enjoy making for people. I love when people show me great local markets and other nice things around the community that I wouldn't normally hear about.

Interests

I'm a total nerd for outsider art, bizarre landscapes, eccentric structures, gardens and grottos - on my last trip to the USA my partner and I drove an RV across the Southern states, exploring and visiting all these kinds of places. I love long hikes through the wilderness (I'd love to do the Appalachian Trail one day). I shoot hoops with pals, see lots of bands, dance to good rap, crush some Pictionary - just having good times with good people!

Music, Movies, and Books

There is lots of good music! I love dumb rap like Gucci Mane and Young Thug, but I also love Ethiopian Jazz and drone like Earth and New York minimalism like La Monte Young (Dream House is the best place ever) and Henry Flynt. Blade Runner is my all time favourite movie, the soundtrack is so amazing. I love to read silly fantasy like Lord of The Rings and Sci-Fi classics like Dune or Vonnegut books when I'm not researching architecture and design.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flew over the Kluane National Park, Canada in a light plane to see glaciers. Such a different world, it never got dark at night, just a little fuzzy and feels like its in slow motion - so many grizzly bears!
