ABOUT ME

Hi we are Harriet and John.
We got married on 06th of july 2012 and are currently living in a small apartment in AEduvik, with our dog Lady.

About us: We are polite, down to earth and loving people. We love to help out wherever we can and aren't afraid to pitch in with the dishes, cooking, baking etc.

Harriet LOVES cooking and baking, actually anything food related and she'll be more than happy to learn or cook for you.

John doesn't mind daily work and is used to doing the dishes.

We're a good team and help each other out in almost everything around the household.

In the free time we like to visit family, hang out with friends, go for walks, spend time with our dog, travel, make food, see new places and host couch surfers.

We love the outdoors and just enjoying the nature.

We are real foodies and love to host dinners for friends, family and travelers.

Also we love trying new food's and coffees from all over the world and appreciate every opportunity to do so.

John also is a fan of specialty beers and is happy to exchange some Faroese Beer for any other specialty.

I can show people The Faroe Islands. Take you out to experience the culture and the exceptional nature. I can give you a taste of the local food and welcome you to our country in stile.

Harriet is good at making food and can teach you how to make a delicious chocolate cake or something else you might like. Or just make some food for you if you'd want.

We would like to get to know new people/friends and new cooking skills.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only good things to say ! Both hosting and traveling has been awesome!! And we look forward to spend more time doing just so.

We love music, especially local Faroese music. And like to go to occasional concerts and festivals.

Photography, knitting, sewing and anything creative really.

Cooking!! Harriet loves cooking and am always eager to learn anything about food.

Traveling, getting to know new cultures.

Staying in watching a movie or series is also good from time to time.

John also loves Soccer!

Music: Teitur, eivor and other locals.
Also Coldplay, Westlife, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra and maaany others.

Books: Everything by Dan Brown ( Davinci code m.m.) and other.

Tv-series: The Big Bang Theory, How I met Your Mother, Gray's anatomy, House and more.

Northern ligths, sunrise and orcas in my hometown Æðuvík, in the Faroe Islands, it truely is breathtaking.

Thunder in the Canary Islands, scary but beautiful.

Taking 3 mounts out of our calender to travel Canada and North America will never be forgotten!

I can teach you the faroese language at least. Some local phrases that you'll find useful at your stay here in The Faroe Islands.

Basic cooking and baking is also one thing I can teach.

And basic knitting.

We are really eager to learn trans cultural cooking :)
