We're a New Zealand couple (Harriet, 25 and Matt, 28) travelling around South America. We've been planning this trip for quite a long time and we're really looking forward to meeting the locals and improving our Espanol.

Before we went travelling Harriet worked in Human Resources and also in Marketing and Matt has worked as a Family and Criminal Lawyer.

We're both pretty active and have run half marathons, we like to play tennis and we're both pretty keen on ballroom dancing which we've been learning socially for 4 years now.

We love cooking (and eating!) so love to try out the local cuisine and then recreate it when we get home to keep the memories going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We've loved hosting people while we've been living in New Zealand it was great to meet travellers and give them tips on places to go and things to see. We're looking forward to meeting locals in South America and learn more about the each country (not just the touristy things).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every time I do a road trip whilst in New Zealand I am awestruck by the beautiful scenery that I am lucky enough to live in :)
Also seeing the sunrise over sand dunes in Vietnam with my family (then riding boogie boards down them!) was an incredible moment.
