About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet more incredible people along the way.

ABOUT ME

I've just finished my Spanish degree in Edinburgh and am about to move to Santiago (Chile) where I spent a year studying.
Born and raised in Sydney, I was dragged kicking and screaming to England. I know consider the UK my home and love both Bristol (where I first lived) and Edinburgh (where I'm now based).
Living so far away from "home" in Santiago was a really powerful experience. It wasn't always easy but it made me question for the first time who I am and what I want from my life. I am now more determined than ever to pursue three main goals: become fluent in Spanish, keep travelling, and meet people who change my view of the world.
When I am travelling I am always looking for new experiences. I am grateful to have so many incredible memories from travelling and find that the best moments from life come from when you are brave and say "Hell, why not, let`s do this".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed when I travelled through Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Uruguay and now that I'm back in the UK I want to return the favour by hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no personal experience hosting couchsurfers but a good friend in Chile initiated me into this wonderful world and through her I have seen the potential that couchsurfing has to create strong and long-term friendships.

Interests

When I'm being a home-girl I like cooking with friends, going to the theatre, art exhibitions, cafes & restaurants. Most of all I love to go to music festivals. There is no better feeling than etting up the tent and cracking open the first cider in front of some sweet live music - ideally in the sunshine, although that's never guaranteed in England. Music festivals are my holidays and I spend my whole year looking forward to them. My favourites are WOMAD, Glastonbury & Bestival in the UK.
