Music, Movies, and Books

Really into sad folk, alt-country, folk punk type stuff at the moment. But I was raised on a healthy diet of punk and extreme metal. Listened to and played a lot of indie rock for the last couple years but have been returning to my more punk roots.

Reading a lot of stuff at the moment. Mix of contemporary political philosophy stuff but also classics and memoirs. Non-western psychology and spirituality stuff too. Also exploring literature from the Afghan diaspora—something I’m hopeful to get more involved in as it’s a relatively new literary scene.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably this trip—I have always longed to travel aimlessly with nowhere to be. Had a near death experience on bicycle and realized life is indeed short, do what ya want while you can.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play drums, a bit of banjo, philosophy and computers if you’re inclined. Also love talking about books, culture, sociology, people, swapping travel stories.
