About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Time to get out and see the world for myself. I'm not content to live my life in carefully constructed limitations. I want to see it all and do it all... well most of it. Nothing tying me down and no responsibilities so bring on the fun!

ABOUT ME

Born and raised in the state of Arkansas, with a brief detour of four years during which I lived in Costa Rica and Honduras. I adapt to situations well, that is to say I like to think I can roll with the punches, figuratively speaking of course because I don't like confrontation. Pretty easy going and tend to be quieter when I first get to know people, but I love good conversation, good fun and I open up quickly. Very few people I can't get along with, but on the other hand very few people that I become very close too. Open minded, not judgmental, friendly, pretty normal I suppose with just a dash of crazy.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep an open mind, a strong heart, and clear eyes. Look forward and never assume you know all there is to know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ambivert. Means I pretty much fall in the middle of the Introvert/Extrovert scale. I tend to adapt to the social situation I am placed in, but my overall goal is to have fun and meet new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a beginner, but I'm not worried.

Interests

Beer, interesting people and conversations, learning new things, new experiences, pool, chess, literature, hunting/wilderness survival, food of all sorts love trying new dishes, music festivals (really like the social atmosphere of these events), learning useful life-skills.

Music, Movies, and Books

Really? I don't have time for this. Lets just put it this way I enjoy most music and can tolerate all of it, but I'm not a fan of country music, hip hop, or metal. Books I enjoy are usually fiction wether they are commenting on humanity and our possible future like Brave New World, or wether they are just good stories that communicate life truths like Harry Potter. My taste in movies are the same as my taste in books.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I can teach you how to hunt if you are into that (a lot of people are not). Have some fishing experience as well and a fisherman's not is pretty easy to learn. I can also teach you how to tie your shoe correctly (you're laughing but in fact most people tie their shoes using the weak form of the knot instead of the strong form). I am decent at chess and can provide practice for experienced players or teach beginners. I don't know about teaching anyone but I like playing cards.
