Overview
About Me
Born and raised in Canada, back in New York to finish up my graduate work after a year abroad in Switzerland. I've been fortunate to have had the chance to travel a ton, meeting so many incredible people along the way. Like any good western Canadian, I'm open minded and as laid back as someone can be after living in New York for a handful of years. Always interested in meeting new people and swapping stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I had my first experience with couch surfing while taking a (literal) surf trip down the coast of California. Our van broke down one evening and with the van in repair and all the local spots booked, someone mentioned couch surfing. We were quickly taken in by an older couple who had couch surfed back in the 70s and were looking to pay it forward. We surfed with their kids, made dinner and ended up with some outstanding friends. Needless to say, the generosity and disposition stuck with me and I've been wanting to do the same ever since.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent every last penny I had to go to the Philippines for a winter to design and build a rural disaster-relief school network following the typhoons in 2014.
