Hi I'm Harrison. I am from Laguna Hills, California. Until a few months ago, I worked as a Software Engineer. I quit my job in order to travel. I spent about few months traveling around South America and am now doing the same in Europe. Not really sure how long I am going keep travelling. At first it was only meant to be a few month trip, but I am beginning to think I could stretch this out for a couple of years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting and getting to know people who actually live in the places I am visiting. I don't have much experience with couch surfing as I tend to use another site workaway, but I decided it wouldn't hurt to check out what was possible here. I think it also goes without saying that I am attempting to save as much money while travelling as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I tend to read mostly fantasy. My favorite books are in a series called "Malazan Book of The Fallen" by Steven Erikson. I am also a big Game of Thrones/Lord of the Rings fan.

I am not sure if I have a favorite movie. The only thing I can think of right now is the movie Catch Me If You Can.

I like indie rock music most, but I have a very wide taste in music so its hard to say what I like most.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I caught a 250 pound swordfish once. Don't know if that's amazing or lucky.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am not sure if Southern California has a collective culture, but I can certainly share parts of it I know. I love to play music and sing, though I am not travelling with an instruments. I hope to make some lasting connections and potentially be able return the favor by showing people where I live someday.
