About Me

CURRENT MISSION

-Getting to know the US and travel through the continent! While keeping on swing dancing and aerial circus and not just speaking English.

-especially getting some Spanish together :)

-Trying to read books that aren't just canons, or from my country (suggestions are welcome).

ABOUT ME

French teacher and translator spending a year in the US, curly hair, incredibly small.
I have a thing for arts in general, and especially Performing Arts. And people, and animals!

I mainly teach languages (and learn them too) but I am involved in music, dance, circus and drama in many ways. I like meeting people, travelling (of course), alternative and commercial music (even if I am a bit of hipster sometimes), doing improv, exploring and learning languages.

I really enjoy trying new things which is why I am not particularly into aerial circus, afrofusion dance and music and lindy hope.

While I enjoy some time by myself, I am also very social and travel to discover a country’s/region’s culture as well as individuals and their take on where they live.

I never listened to my parents telling me not to speak to strangers, among other things.

PHILOSOPHY

Cat petting, and sharing in general. For more, please ask.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Definitely not by using Couchsurfing as a dating website! And never interested in doing so. I try to travel around the world and host people whenever I can! When I can't host I like to show around. I mostly participate to the couch spirit outside the website (because my house in London is already mostly full with my and my 5 housemates' friends :) ).
Currently living in Reading, PA, USA in a college accomodation so hosting isn't practical but happy to show around and explore (I've only just got there)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I welcomed friends at mine's and went abroad to visit my international friends, and I tried couchsurfing a few tinesas a guest (and so I am still in touch with amazing couchsurfers).I only hosted three people from Venezuela when i was in Lyon, one person in Paris and I started surfing when I arrived in the UK, and want to get more involved. I really enjoy meeting up with people to show them around where I also but also meeting fellow travelers in foreign lands. I enjoyed the experience when people who hosted me in other countries came to stay with me!

Interests

I like theater a lot, seeing it and doing it.

I want to learn as much things as possible, especially languages.

I want to travel all around the world, but not in a fast consuming touristy manner. I'd rather soak in the atmosphere, and specific way of a place.

I love cats, going to the cinema, and to gigs. I read a lot (I cannot travel or fall asleep without a book in my hands).

I enjoy visiting museums and galleries, natural parks.

I've never not danced, be it in a formal or informal, organised or unorganised way, and I don't think it will ever change.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adopting cats.
Dancing on stage with Emir Kusturica and the No Smoking Orchestra.
Seeing Iggy Pop live.
Petting a desert fox.
Going to the Sahara on a camel's back.
Reciting Marx on a bar table in Toulouse.
Running on Swansea bay.
Sleeping in a wooden house in Scotland's forest.
Hitchhike around Ireland.
Dancing til dawn outdoors in Cuba.
Flying in the air thanks to aerial swing.
Becoming friend with badass old ladies.
Ride a horse into the sea (the horse took me, I didn’t have control but he kindly didn’t give too much trouble!!!)
Flying through people throwing me around with aerial swing dances.

It's too hard to choose!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach French, English, and grammatically incorrect German and some tricks of belly dancing as well as swing steps.
I can also give drama and improv workshops and help with translations.
I know some French and Arabic cuisine. English too if that counts.
I'd like to learn Spanish, Irish dancing, tribal dance fusion, and about anything really.
