Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my first year in the UAE when I lived out in the desert, I used couchsurfing to get free spots/a community in Abu Dhabi during the weekends. Now I live in Khalifa City just outside of Abu Dhabi, near the airport and Masdar City. My work schedule is flexible and I'm happy to host. My place is small but what's mine is yours.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing too amazing in isolation, but possibly slightly more so if I list a bunch of them together-

Climbed the tallest sand dune in the UAE, and a volcano in Indonesia

Been to a Chinese wedding in China

Escaped (semi-comfortably) from a flooding canyon on a hiking trip in Oman.

Been invited to multiple camel farms, and both ridden and eaten a camel.

Solo hotel-free road trip to and from Muscat

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, decently I'm told, and it's also been said I make the best old fashioned in Abu Dhabi. I'm not so good at telling stories, but if you like to talk about travel I'm good for that, or we can banter about science, politics or amateur linguistics if any of those are your thing. Or I just give you an excuse to get out and show off/explore your city.
