ABOUT ME

I'm a philosophy graduate so getting a job is out of the question as it is too boring and hard at the same time. I'm running some summer camps in Hong Kong for a bit, I taught there last summer and love it, the people, the dim sum and beers. Then I am travelling round other Asian locations and New Zealand with two friends from university - the crew of haz, raz and dicko - and then save some money up by working in Australia which I can travel off. Keen to meet anyone, I'm outgoing, love a few drinks and yarns! I'm cheeky but also polite, come on, I'm British, Ps & Qs are important! Lets hang out and have a good time.

I hosted quite a few people while I was at university. It was fun but would have been more fun if I didn't have so much shitting work all the time! Everyone I met has been awesome and through hosting you get a good idea of what makes a good host so I'm ready to put that into practice ;) I will try to host people when I'm back from my travels but who knows what the situation will be...

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Seven Samurai (anything by Kurosawa), Never Let Me Go, 50/50, The Road, Pulp Fiction, 3 Dollars trilogy, Grand Torino, The Lives of Others, La Haine, Toy Story 3 etc.

Music: Bands like Title Fight, Basement, La Dispute, Bonobo, God is an Astronaut, The Smiths, Owen, into it. over it., Make Do and Mend, Tegan and Sara, Veronica Falls and lots more. I doubt you have heard of many of them but I can introduce you to them! I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to make playlists and swap them with couchsurfers as I'm into a bit of everything (classical music, world music, dance music it's all good) and love hearing new music!

Books: Camus, Iris Murdoch, Leibniz, Kant, Hume, Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, William James, Bernard Williams, Fitzgerald, Hardy and Charlotte Bronte. My 3 years at university left no time to read anything but philosophy so I'm hoping to read lots of novels when I'm travelling, especially about the countries which I'm going to!

Heheee I did a course in swedish massage so could teach you some massages, they are pretty sketchy in my mind and I'm confident my free-styling massages are better!
