About Me

Hello one and all, and thanks for being here too!
In Feb 2019, I will be starting a cycle tour from Ireland to Japan, an endeavour that may raise eyebrows in some circles, but I hope not here.
I am looking forward to seeing every inch of the world between these two places, and connecting with people between - especially those kind-hearted enough to host me. My flat in Amsterdam is also open for fellow cyclists, but my fiancée and my housemate will be doing the welcome whilst I'm away.
A brief intro: I am a 25-year old from England (grew up in Bath), I live in Amsterdam at the moment but lived in Delhi previously, and have ambitions elsewhere soon. My most in-flow moments come whilst cooking curry, playing squash or rugby, playing the euphonium (perhaps google it!?), journaling, reading, storytelling (and listening!) and meditating.
I am also doing charity fundraising on this trip for an orphanage in Mongolia - primarily switching them from coal to solar and also contributing to crucial running costs. So any help in getting me across the world will echo positively elsewhere.
Look forward to connecting already!
Best,
Harry Horner

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet and stay with a fascinating collection of people whilst I am on my big cycle trip.

Also, at the surety of sounding cliche and/or pretentious, I believe the purest and most fundamental function of the internet is to bring us all closer.

Interests

Intriguing conversation, off-the-wall musings, music, many sports (particularly rugby and squash), and top drawer sessions.
