Music, Movies, and Books

rock, funk, rap, ambient and electronic music, way too many books to list here but some favorites are dune, the great santini, the dog stars and the Lord of the rings, I'm a huge movie fan, anything from thrillers like seven or flight club to romcoms like when Harry meet Sally or anything with John Cusack to old dramas like On the Waterfront or The Godfather, I can also get down with animation from Disney to Miyazaki, I could go on but I'd write an essay. I especially love new material to get to know so please share a favorite piece of media.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done a full Himalayan trek in $2 flip flops.

Had an in depth conversation with a former member of the Yakuza using only google translate.

Accidentally trespassed into a Taiwanese military compound and explained my way out to 3 Taiwanese soldiers who spoke almost no English.

Watched the sunrise from a temple on the southeast tip of Korea over hot tea in February.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about life in rural New England and lots of useless trivia that dives my friends crazy, I love to cook and to learn new recipes and like to hear about unique cultural traditions, I can share a love of films and books and food and good times.
