Hello! I am travelling in Central America from October 4th 2018, starting with Nicaragua. I am hoping to visit some youth work projects for research and to volunteer. I am interested in meet ups and couch surfing - especially if you know about youth work projects.

Hola! Estoy viajando en Centroamerica desde el cuatro de octubre 2018. Comenco en Nicaragua. Espero visitar unos proyectos trabajando con la juventud, para investigar y voluntar. Quiero conocer gente nueva y quedar me si posible - especialmente si sabes sobre projectos asi. Nos vemos!

I am a researcher and I work with various local charities including with youth homelessness, refugees and other causes. I am also a writer and musician. I try to spend time overseas most years - most recently South India, Venezuela and Brazil.

When not travelling I live in Bristol in the UK. We host a lot of people at our beautiful house in Easton - mostly friends of friends, not usually from this site but do drop me a line if you're coming over. We live in a vibrant and alternative part of this lovely city. If you are into live music, finding out about local community groups, or cooking dinner and having late night conversations then we could be a good fit :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living in London for a few years we had an open house policy and regularly hosted people from around the world for weeks on end. Now in Bristol our house is always full of people passing through. I've been lucky enough to be hosted for six months in Melbourne and bits and bobs here and there in Venezuela and Brazil.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

See above. One notable surprise guest was a random Texan photographer who looked like a miniature Johnny Depp in cowboy boots. I took him to a house party in East London and set him loose and he was a smash hit and ended up getting a lift home with the binmen... great style. Otherwise visiting waterfalls in the Amazon with our host in Brazil was amazing!
